چکیده
Background Giant cell arteritis GCA is the most frequent vasculitis over age of 50. Nowadays, it known that there are several subtypes depending on vessels involved: cranial, extracranial and mixed. However, clinical manifestations differentiate these three have not been extensively examined until now. In future, likely differential characteristics in expression disease will be relevant prognosis follow up patients. Objectives The objective study to investigate differences associated with different patterns involvement. Methods This a retrospective new consecutive patients diagnosed our hospital for years. All underwent color Doppler ultrasound both cranial (superficial temporal arteries common superficial artery their frontal parietal branches) (axillary, subclavian carotid arteries) were explored. diagnosis was made according OMERACT definitions halo sign cut-off intima media thickness ≥0.34 mm branches ≥0.42 ≥ 1 axillary, subclavian, established. records reviewed demographic, laboratory data compared between involvement GCA. A p< 0.05 established as limit statistical significance. EULAR recommendations 2019 used establish remission relapse. analysis performed using SPSS version 25. Results total 74 included, 44(58.7%) women mean 78.6±8.6 Regarding subtypes, 18 (24.3%) had exclusive giant CGCA, 12 (16.2%) isolated LVGCA 44 (59.5%) mixed forms MGCA. population shown Table 1.
